Chris Mattinson's career spanned thirty years in HR. Before retiring he was Employee Relations Manager for the London Fire Brigade. He has significant experience as a governor at both primary and secondary level, supporting very challenging schools in Croydon. Moving to Suffolk in 2010 he joined the governing body at Holton Primary School and was appointed Vice-Chair. Chris was invited to join the ASSET Board in 2016 and sits on the Education, Operations and Remuneration Committees. From 2005 until 2018 he served as a Magistrate sitting as a judge in the Family Court. From 2006 until 2013 he was a Lay Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons' Preliminary Investigation Committee dealing with serious complaints from the public. His previous voluntary work includes chairing the London Borough of Croydons' Admissions and Exclusions Panel, chairing the Board of Trustees of Kingston Relate and serving as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of Aldeburgh Music Club.
