Jeremy Pentreath

Jeremy Pentreath became Headteacher at The Oaks in September 2008, following 7 years as Deputy Head at nearby Ranelagh Primary. During his time at the school, he has overseen significant changes which have resulted in gradual improvement of outcomes for children, including a successful Ofsted inspection in 2012 with numerous outstanding elements and a ‘Good’ judgement overall. The Oaks has developed a glowing reputation as a centre for trainee teachers, with many of the school’s current staff having trained at the school. Jeremy is passionate about establishing the school at the heart of the community, with parent education and family support at the heart of his work at the school. He has supported numerous headteachers in their professional development, supported a neighbouring school as its acting headteacher and been a regular presenter at Local Authority leadership development events.
