We run an annual youth speaking event
The ASSET Alumni has been running for three years, each year new people join
Every Summer, Year 6 children leaving ASSET primary schools have the opportunity to join the ASSET Alumni. This is a group of young people committed to making the world through youth social action, and developing their leadership skills.
2026 will be the fourth year of the Alumni, and we'll have young people spanning Year 6 to Year 10! We meet in the school holidays, and occasionally catch up online or at the weekend when we have a big event or project to work on.
Our next Summer Welcome sessions for new Alumni are as follows:
28th Jul 2026 | 10-2 | St Helen's Primary, Woodbridge Road, Ipswich IP4 2LR
13th Aug 2026 | 9.30-1.30 | St Helen's Primary, Woodbridge Road, Ipswich IP4 2LR
19th Aug 2026 | 10-3 | St Helen's Primary, Woodbridge Road, Ipswich IP4 2LR
We hope you can make all of them - but don't worry if you miss one or two - that's fine!

"The Asset Alumni: a team of likeable, energetic and lively youth leaders ready to change the world. Our aim is to tackle youth problems in Ipswich, from safer places for young people to helping children sort out the messed up food environment. Our aims take us out and about and we stand up for what we believe in, encouraging young people to talk and express their voices. We take students coming out of Year 6 and entering Year 7, anyone who wants to make a difference. We induct new people in the summer holidays, a time to get to know each other and plan our next steps. We vote on our next assignments, and spread the word to the world. Join Us!"
