The ASSET Arrows

Each year two children from each of our schools are elected to be "ASSET Arrows" - members of our Trust-wide pupil parliament.

The Arrows act as "MPPs" meeting together each half term and going back to their school "constituencies" to consult and bring about change on the things that matter in our school communities. In 2024-25 our big challenge has been to lead the transformation of school dinners in our trust wide "Food Project", working alongside eco-councils and other school leadership groups in their schools.

Last year's Arrows gave our annual ASSET Awards an overhaul - consulting their peers on what our children really value and would like to see celebrated, and so alongside awards for Maths, English, Science and the Arts, we also have the "Challenge Accepted" award, the adult "Patience and Humour" award, child and adult "Leadership" and "Role Model" awards and the "Caretaker" award, alongside awards for resilience, compassion, social action and the environment.

We give our ASSET Arrows opportunities to lead and speak wherever possible, so you will see them opening, hosting and speaking at many of our events, from our staff professional development conferences to the ASSET Awards themselves. Arrows will often represent the Trust schools and support the work of our partners, for example the #iwill movement, Ipswich Social Mobility Alliance and Volunteering Matters.
